Call for Abstracts

The University of Tennessee’s Reliability & Maintainability Center (RMC) Announces:
The Annual Maintenance and Reliability Conference – MARCON 2027
March 1-4, 2027 – Knoxville, TN

Presentations will be held on March 3rd & 4th

Deadline to submit: August 28, 2026

Authors will be notified of the selection status by September 28, 2026

The University of Tennessee’s Reliability & Maintainability Center (RMC) invites you to submit presentation abstracts to be considered for the 31st annual Maintenance and Reliability Conference, MARCON 2027.  The 2027 conference will highlight companies’ best practices and case studies in all stages of their R&M journeys, the latest tools and strategies to maintain and manage assets, new tools and technologies, and the latest research in the field.

Presentation slots are 45 minutes in length, including any time set aside for question and answer. Selection preference is given to practitioners. Service and product providers are encouraged to co-present with a client to increase their chances of selection.

Why Should You Present?

  • Selected presenters receive a free 4-day admission pass to the conference (one free pass per presentation).
  • PDF copies of the presentation slides and requested paper are published electronically in the conference proceedings.
  • The chance to share your knowledge, lessons learned and accomplishments with others in the field.
  • Recognition among your R&M peers.

Requirements: 

  • Title
  • Abstract (350 words or less) detailing the proposed presentation
  • Proposed topic area
  • Presenter’s Bio
  • Presenter’s Headshot
  • No commercial content is allowed during presentations
  • If selected, you will be required to submit presentation slides no later than February 12th, 2027.
  • A corresponding white paper is requested to be included in the conference proceedings, to provide additional information for attendees. Papers should be submitted no later than February 12th, 2027, as well.

By submitting this abstract proposal, I agree that if selected by the Review Committee, I will attend and present the proposed presentation at MARCON 2027. I agree to submit presentation slides to be included in the conference proceedings that will be distributed to all MARCON attendees. In addition, I understand that a corresponding paper is requested to accompany the presentation in the proceedings. I am willing and will be prepared to give my presentation virtually if the conference format is changed or my company restricts travel.
